The owners of Mr Dewie’s approached Mia Heiman Design to help them dream up a flagship parlor for their brand.The classic Albany corner location served as an inspiration for MHD. It had housed a burger restaurant for 35 years. The exterior was a tired terracotta color, and the tile was broken and missing.
We revamped it inside and out, bringing fresh whites, greens and black into the palette. The architecture and time period of the building was honored in all aspects of the design and fixture choices. It now serves as an important meeting location for the bustling Solano Avenue.

Custom made benches, designed by Mia. New dark teal custom counters with Carrara Marble tops by Marble European Style. The wainscot paint is a brighter teal color. The white color is White Dove and carries inside and out, and is about the brightest white I would recommend on the exterior in California.
Lovely, hand made tiles by Waterworks and light fixtures by Schoolhouse Electric set the tone for the space.
